Alison Maria Krauss is an American singer, songwriter and bluegrass musician. She was born on July 23, 1971. She started in the industry in her early years, as she was just 10 years older. The year 1985 saw her signing with Rounder Records. Her first solo album debuted in 1987. She was asked to join Alison Krauss & Union Station together with whom she performed.
