Kari Sam Wuhrer was born on April 28, 1968, is an American Actress and Singer. Wuhrer began her career as a teenager. She is known for her roles as Maggie Beckett in the television series Sliders as well as her role as Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), an accountant for payroll, as well as German American Andrew Wuhrer, a police officer and automobile salesman. She has three brothers and sisters. As a teenager she was a nightclub performer when she escaped from her home. When she began studying acting at Wooster School at the age of 13, she pursued a degree in drama at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts at Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. Then, she took classes at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under renowned Uta Hagen. Her birth date was the 28th of April, 1967 in Brookfield, Connecticut. She is the daughter of the father of a German American and a German-American mother. Kari is the youngest of three kids. When she was just teenager, she performed in nightclubs by sneaking away from her home. Kari began acting at the Wooster school at the age of thirteen, and went on to study drama in New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, Columbia University Marymount Manhattan College as well the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art under the renowned Uta Hagen. Kari was introduced to acting at the age of 13 and got her first big break in 1987, when she was featured on MTV Remote Control.
